PM Modi announced the announcement in a post on X, writing, “I am happy to inform you that Shri LK Advani Ji will get the Bharat Ratna. I told him how much I appreciated this honor and spoke with him. Speaking about Advani, the Prime Minister called him “one of the most respected leaders of our era” and emphasized his important role in the development of India.
His career began at the bottom and he managed to become our Deputy Prime Minister, serving the country. He made a name for himself as both our Home Minister and our Minister of I&B. The Prime Minister stated, “His parliamentary interventions have consistently been exemplary and full of rich insights.”
During his speech in Odisha on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi stated, “Advani ji is a symbol of the fact that the nation never forgets those who spend their lives in the service of the nation…” “Bharat Ratna to LK Advani is honor to nation’s ideology first,” he continued.
