The highly anticipated trailer for the upcoming film “Captain Miller,” featuring Dhanush and Priyanka Mohan in lead roles, was unveiled by the creators this Saturday.
Scheduled for release on January 12, the movie, directed by Arun Matheswaran, showcases a powerhouse cast that includes Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Vinoth Kishan, Nassar, and Edward Sonnenblick alongside Dhanush and Priyanka Mohan in pivotal roles.

The narrative unfolds in a pre-independent India under British rule, portraying Dhanush’s character as a perceived criminal and dacoit named Easa. Easa emerges as a local rebel leader, fervently resisting the colonization of his village.
Offering a glimpse into the complexity of his character, a dialogue suggests that his conduct is contingent upon the actions of others. The plot revolves around a valuable treasure guarded by the locals in his village, coveted by the British for looting purposes.

The Shoot:
Before commencing production in 2022, Captain Miller underwent thorough pre-production preparations. Outdoor shoots unfolded in various locales such as Tirunelveli and Tenkasi.
However, the film’s journey wasn’t without its share of controversies. Speculations arose about unauthorized filming at the Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve, leading to a petition filed against the team by the residents of Tenkasi for alleged explosive use.
Despite these challenges, the filming process concluded in November 2023.
