Arun Yogiraj Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha

Arun, a sculptor from Karnataka, happily declared himself the “luckiest person on earth” after his idol got chosen for the Ayodhya temple as Ram Lalla.

He felt like he was “living a dream” because, even though he’s a fifth-generation sculptor who has crafted many statues, this was the first time the whole world was eagerly awaiting one of his creations. On January 22, during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony for the Ram Lalla idol he sculpted, Arun Yogiraj was filled with joy like never before.

Today, on January 22, the world witnessed the unveiling of the deity’s face as the scarf covering the idol’s eyes was removed. The entire world was mesmerized by the revelation.

Arun Yogiraj: Blessings of my ancestors.

On Monday, sculptor Yogiraj shared, “I feel like the luckiest person on earth. The blessings from my ancestors, family, and Lord Ram Lalla have always been with me. Sometimes, it feels like I’m in a dream world.” These thoughts followed the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi played a central role.

Before the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony, the idol’s completed form was revealed by removing the blindfold. The idol, portraying a five-year-old Ram Lalla standing on a lotus, crafted by Arun Yogiraj from black stone, had been concealed under a veil until today.

In the preceding week, the idol was placed in the temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, serving as the chief ‘jajman,’ led the ‘pran pratishtha’ or consecration ceremony at the Ram temple today. He had diligently observed a rigorous 11-day series of religious rituals in preparation for this significant event.

Arun Yogiraj: is a young blessed man man.

Arun, a young, polite, and cheerful sculptor from a five-generation legacy in Mysore, is gaining widespread recognition for his remarkable work. He crafted statues of Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at India Gate in Delhi, showcasing his versatile talent.

According to Rai, Arun was intensely focused on his work, even going without speaking to his family and children for 15 days. Selected by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Arun was one of three sculptors entrusted with carving the idol of ‘Ram Lalla.’

With an MBA and a brief stint in the corporate sector, Arun returned to his passion for sculpting in 2008. His skills have made him a sought-after sculptor nationwide, attracting attention from various states for statues of notable figures.

Arun’s family legacy includes his skilled sculptor father, Yogiraj, and his grandfather, Basavanna Shilpi, who received patronage from the King of Mysore. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has commended Arun’s talent.

Some of Arun’s notable works include a 30-feet statue of Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate, a 12-feet statue of Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath, and several other statues depicting figures like Dr. BR Ambedkar and Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.
